Saint Andrew Drama Lesson Plan

by Janet Baird

Saint Andrew Drama Lesson Plan

This short lesson plan for KS1 and lower KS2 children explores the story of Saint Andrew. The read-aloud story is fictional but it describes how Saint Andrew became linked with Scotland. The drama lesson turns the story into a mini performance using improvisation, mime, movement and sound. This is a great lesson for linking to a project on the saints or the early history of Britain and works well for younger children who are new to drama and performance. The pack also includes great follow-on tasks for further work in the classroom.

Type: lesson plan
Subject: history, stories, sound effects
Age Range:KS1, KS2
